Professional Services

Since the mid-90's, Manna has developed the capacity to undertake almost any type of residential homeownership project with in-house staff. In developing this capacity, Manna has been careful to control overhead costs. The nature of the real estate development process, whether it be by for-profit commercial developers or for-profit or nonprofit housing developers, is not smooth. There are often gaps in the development pipeline because of project impediments such as government processing delays, citizen concerns, etc. which developers cannot control.

To fill the gaps, Manna has created a consulting practice to provide technical assistance to other nonprofits that lack the expertise Manna has developed. The advantage to Manna is additional revenue to subsidize affordable housing programs. The advantages to our client nonprofits:

  • professional advice and analysis from an organization that understands nonprofit needs;
  • advice and rates at a below market cost;
  • timely and attentive service.

Manna clients have included:

  • Latin American Youth Center
  • Transitional Housing Corporation
  • Community Family Life Services
  • Hope Housing
  • 13th Irving Development Group
  • Washington Parks & People
  • Seekers Church
